Combining Procedures: BBL + Tummy Tuck + Breast Augmentation in Colombia

One of the biggest draws of medical tourism in Colombia is the ability to combine multiple procedures in a single trip. Instead of two or three separate surgeries, recovery periods, and time off work, many patients opt for a comprehensive transformation in one session. But not every combination is safe, and adding procedures adds complexity. Here is what works, what does not, and what it costs.

Common Combinations

BBL + Lipo 360 (Standard)

BBL + Breast Augmentation

The most popular combination beyond the standard BBL + Lipo 360. Adding breast implants or a breast lift to a BBL is generally considered safe when performed by an experienced surgeon, as the surgical sites (midsection/buttocks and chest) are separate and do not interfere with each other. Combined surgery time is typically 5–7 hours. Recovery is more demanding than either procedure alone — you will have soreness in both areas — but the total recovery timeline is roughly the same as the more demanding procedure (the BBL). This is why it is appealing: one trip, one recovery, two results.

BBL + Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

This combination is more complex and not all surgeons will perform it simultaneously. The concern is that a tummy tuck and liposuction overlap anatomically — both affect the abdominal area. Aggressive liposuction and a full tummy tuck in the same session can compromise blood supply to the abdominal tissue, increasing the risk of wound healing complications. Some surgeons handle this by performing a mini tummy tuck (less extensive than a full abdominoplasty) alongside the BBL, or by limiting the liposuction in the abdominal area and focusing Lipo 360 on the flanks and back. Others stage the procedures — BBL first, tummy tuck several months later. Ask your surgeon specifically how they approach this combination.

BBL + Breast Augmentation + Tummy Tuck (The "Mommy Makeover")

The triple combination — sometimes marketed as a "mommy makeover" — is the most extensive option. It is technically possible but significantly increases surgical time (6–8+ hours), anesthesia duration, and recovery demands. Not all surgeons will perform all three simultaneously. Your candidacy for this combination depends on your health status, BMI, and the specific procedures involved (full tummy tuck vs mini, implants vs lift, etc.).

The Safety Considerations

More procedures mean longer anesthesia time, more surgical trauma, and more complex recovery. The key safety factors are total time under general anesthesia (most surgeons cap combined procedures at 6–8 hours), total blood loss across all procedures, patient health and BMI (higher BMI increases risk for longer procedures), and post-operative monitoring requirements.

The Financial Case

Combining procedures in Colombia saves significantly compared to doing them separately — not just because of lower individual procedure costs, but because you pay for one trip, one anesthesia session, one recovery house stay, and one period away from work. Recovery: What Changes

Adding breast augmentation to a BBL adds upper body soreness and restricted arm movement for the first 1–2 weeks (no lifting above your head). Adding a tummy tuck adds significant abdominal tightness, a longer incision to manage, and a more limited range of motion. Plan for a longer recovery house stay (14–18 days rather than 10–14) and a more gradual return to full activity.
