SCCP certification is the only way to verify that your surgeon completed a full plastic surgery residency and passed board examinations.

⚠️ Red flag: If a surgeon in Colombia cannot show SCCP certification, walk away. No exceptions. Low prices from uncertified providers are not savings — they're risks. The BBL is one of the most technically demanding cosmetic procedures. It requires a real plastic surgeon, not someone who took a weekend workshop.

The SCCP maintains a public directory of certified surgeons on their official website. You can search by name, city, or specialty. If a surgeon claims SCCP certification but doesn't appear in the directory, that's your answer.
